Five Ferries Hopper to Islay

12Oct2019

Join us for a Five Ferries excursion taking in sea crossings to Bute, Cowal, Kintyre and Islay. CRSC is hiring a coach for the day, the main feature of which is a return sailing from Kennacraig to Port Askaig on MV Finlaggan.

The trip will involve travelling on 5 ferries to 2 islands, 2 peninsulas and using a coach to do so. Departing from the car park of Gourock Train Station at 0815, we will travel by coach to Wemyss Bay for the connection to Rothesay and onwards to Colintraive via Rhubodach. A pleasant journey around Loch Riddon and across Cowal takes us to the ferry terminal at Portavadie for onwards travel to Tarbert. After a short drive to Kennacraig, Finlaggan will take us to Port Askaig (Islay) at 1300.

After arriving back at Kennacraig at 1725, the return journey takes us to Hunter’s Quay to catch our fifth and final ferry of the day at 2000 to McInroy’s Point, before returning by coach to Gourock for 2030. Included in the cost of the trip is a two-course meal with tea/coffee in the Mariners restaurant on Finlaggan.

The price for this excursion is £56.50 (£51.50 for paid-up CRSC members). Click here to buy your tickets.

Club members may purchase an additional ticket at the reduced rate, plus 3 children’s tickets at the reduced rate (where applicable).
