Rob Beale, ship historian and skipper on the Lake Windermere vessels, casts his eye back to the origins of boating there and the links with Scotland, before bringing us up-to-date with the latest developments. Entry is free and non-members are welcome. Please arrive in good time to socialise and peruse the Club’s merchandise at the back of our meeting room on the first floor of Jurys Inn: there is a huge variety of publications and photographs on offer.
