The Glasgow Museums Resource Centre at Nitshill is offering guided tours of its fabulous ship model collection on 31 May and 23 August. The collection includes builders’ models of famous Clyde steamers and transatlantic liners, as well as more modest but no less interesting craft. Emily Malcolm, curator of transport and technology, says that ‘On this tour you will discover how and why they were made and get a close look at some of the most detailed ship models ever made’.
