Eric Schofield presents a selection of the many outstanding colour photographs he has taken of ships serving Arran. In this first instalment he focuses on the pre-CalMac era.
From 7.30pm until 9.15pm
At Jurys Inn
Jamaica Street, Glasgow G1 4QG
For more than 50 years Eric Schofield has been one of the most observant photographers of maritime life around the piers, shores and channels of Arran. This is guaranteed to be a very special evening, focusing on the 1960s and early 1970s, and featuring colour images of the Clyde’s most fondly remembered steamers (with the promise of a second talk, devoted to the CalMac era, in a future year). Non-members are welcome: please arrive early and take advantage of the opportunity to socialise before the start.
