Waverley’s first call at the new Brodick pier

28Jun2018

Waverley makes her first visit to the new pier at Brodick. The cruise starts at Largs and Keppel and continues round Holy Isle.

This will be Waverley’s first visit to the new pier at Brodick. The £30m facility took two years to build and opened on 22 March after months of delay. The long finger-like construction will oblige the paddler to berth bow-in and leave by going astern.

From 28 June Waverley will make weekly calls there every Thursday until 23 August  -- initially starting at Largs and Keppel, and then from July 12 starting at Greenock and other upper-firth piers. On Tuesdays from 31 July to 21 August the paddler makes a call at Brodick, outward and return, on her cruise from Ayr to Loch Long. On Sunday 1 July and Monday 23 July she calls en route to a cruise round Ailsa Craig.
