Five Ferries Hopper to Islay

Come and join us: Finlaggan at Port Askaig, Islay, the destination of CRSC’s October excursion

CRSC has organised a trip to Islay on Saturday 12 October involving five different ferries.

Departing from the car park at Gourock Train Station at 0815, we will travel by coach to Wemyss Bay for the connection to Rothesay and onwards to Colintraive via Rhubodach.

A scenic ride round Loch Riddon and across Cowal will be followed by the ferry journey across Loch Fyne from Portavadie to Tarbert. We will then proceed to Kennacraig, where we will join MV Finlaggan for her 1300 sailing to Port Askaig.

After Finlaggan arrives back at Kennacraig at 1725, our coach will take us to Hunter’s Quay to catch our fifth and final ferry of the day at 2000 to McInroy’s Point. The excursion ends at Gourock at approximately 2030.

Tickets cost 56.50 (£51.50 for paid-up CRSC members). Book here.

Included in this price is a two-course meal with tea/coffee in the Mariners Restaurant on Finlaggan.

Club members may purchase an additional ticket at the reduced rate, and there are reduced prices for children.

If you are not yet a member, join here for £10 and receive a member’s discount straightaway.

There are only 50 places available for this unique excursion.

Book here without delay, and enjoy the experience of sailing to the southern Hebrides in the company of fellow enthusiasts.

CRSC excursions are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere and conviviality, and our Islay trips are among the most popular.

We look forward to seeing you on the 12th!
