Let’s go to Leonardo’s!

The 2026-27 winter programme of meetings will soon be getting underway, and marks a return to a former venue, the Leonardo Royal Hotel, Glasgow, which will perhaps be better known to many Club members by its previous name – Jury’s Inn. The hotel in conveniently located in the city centre with good public transport links by train to Glasgow Central Station, by several bus routes using Argyle Street, Jamaica Street or Oswald Street, or the Subway to nearby St Enoch. There are car parks close by as well, for any member wishing to make their own transport arrangements.

Our new meeting place is the Leonardo Royal Hotel, situated just a short walk down Jamaica Street from Glasgow Central station, and close to several bus routes and St Enoch underground station

Meetings will commence at 7pm prompt and – with two exceptions – are held on the SECOND Wednesday of the month. The two exceptions are November, and the Annual General Meeting in April, both of which are held on the THIRD Wednesdays of the month, respectively.

Our meetings will usually be held in Room 109 which is located on the first floor, apart from the November meeting when Room 104 will be used instead – this room has a smaller capacity. As usual, the Club Shop will be open from 6pm at the back of our comfortable new meeting room on the first floor. Our Membership Secretary will also be happy to take subscriptions – which are due now – at the meeting, should you wish to pay in person rather than by another method.

The full listing of meetings is included lower down on this post.

All UK members should have received their Autumn Mailing, which includes the newly published REVIEW 2025, the syllabus for the 2026-27 session, and the order form for the 2027 Calendar. Also included were details of the exclusive 2026 Photo Offer.

CRSC Members should note that the annual subscription of £35 is now due, which can be paid online here. If paying by bank transfer please ensure your order has your name and the item you are paying for on the order.

If you have NOT already joined CRSC, you can do so for just £15 either at the meeting, or by clicking here — and you’ll receive all the benefits, including our annual Review of west coast shipping movements, ‘Clyde Steamers’ – the 56-page colour magazine published each spring, discounts on photo offers, and access to photo-rich ‘members only’ posts.
