However, the internet is not a totally secure medium, and you acknowledge and agree that CRSC shall not be responsible for any unauthorised use, distribution, damage or destruction of personal data, except to the extent we are required to accept such responsibility by the Data Protection Act 1998.

We may hold personal data relating to the transactions you enter into with us, such as online sales and membership applications/renewals through the website. This allows us to administer the purchasing process, to fulfil our obligations and to notify you if there are any issues with the purchasing process, as well as to arrange for payment.

The information we collect via our website may include:

  • Any personal details you knowingly provide through forms and our email, such as name, address, telephone number etc.
  • In order to process credit or debit card transactions effectively, it may be necessary for the bank or card processing agency to verify your personal details for authorisation outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Such information will not be transferred out of the EEA for any other purpose.
  • In using the “PayPal” service for the collection of monies due for purchases through our website, we will receive some of your personal details from this third party in order to allow us to fulfil our transaction with you. All bank and credit card details will remain within the control and policies of the PayPal organisation.

We will deal with your personal data in compliance with the current UK data protection legislation. Please note this policy applies only to CRSC’s website and not to any other companies’ or organisations’ websites to which we link, which are subject to their own policy and which may differ from ours.

A session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.
