CRSC has organised a New Year excursion to Arran on Saturday 20 January.
We will leave Ardrossan on the 0945 sailing to Brodick, from where coaches will take us round the south of the island to Blackwaterfoot for a two-course lunch at the Kinloch Hotel (see menu below).
We will return to Brodick by ‘The String’ road in time for the 1640 sailing to Ardrossan.
Both crossings will be by MV Isle of Arran.
The cost of the trip, inclusive of CalMac ticket, coach and lunch, will be £36.00 for members and £38.50 for non-members. Members are encouraged to bring friends and book for them at the members’ rate.
This is a unique midwinter opportunity to sail with other enthusiasts and enjoy lunch in a sociable atmosphere at Blackwaterfoot.
Bookings will close on Monday 15 January at 1800. If the trip has to be cancelled because of a gale forecast, we will inform you by midday on Thursday 18 January.
The lunch will consist of a main course, dessert and tea/coffee.
Main courses will be Slow Braised Beef, Macaroni Cheese, Breaded Haddock, Beef Burger or Falafel & Chickpea Burger.
Desserts are Sticky Toffee Pudding, Apple Crumble or Arran Ice Cream.
An email will be sent to collect a pre-order for the above menu choices in advance of Saturday 20 January.
