Waverley makes a fine sight as she steams down the East Kyle

The steamer will depart from Glasgow and Greenock, and proceed via Rothesay to Largs. Waverley will then head through the Tan, past Garroch Head and Dunagoil Bay into the Kyles of Bute, before returning to Rothesay and Largs. The timetable for the day is shown below.

Glasgow – Cruise Round Bute, £49* (full price £63 incl. £4 fuel surcharge)
Greenock – Cruise Round Bute, £43* (full price £53 incl. £2 fuel surcharge)
Rothesay or Largs – Cruise Round Bute, £39* (full price £45/£49 incl. £2 fuel surcharge)
Glasgow – Cruise Round Bute with meal, £65*
Greenock – Cruise Round Bute with meal, £59*
Rothesay or Largs – Cruise Round Bute with meal, £55*
The meal comprises two courses and tea or coffee or bottled water.
Children 5-16 get to sail for just £1, or also have a meal for £12!
*An additional fuel surcharge (see below) has been applied to each Adult ticket.

2026 FUEL SURCHARGE – Last Reviewed – 7th July 2026
Fuel prices continue to be much greater this season compared to 2025, although there has been a decrease in recent weeks. Given that the overall increase in the cost of fuel is expected to be over £250,000 across Waverley’s 2026 sailing season a small Fuel Surcharge is added to all Adult and Senior fares. No Fuel Surcharge is added to Child or Dog fares.
The current Fuel Surcharge is £2 for fares of £57 or under, and £4 for fares set at £58 or over.

At current prices (which change daily) it is costing between £9 and £10 PER MINUTE in fuel to sail Waverley (she is in steam for about 10-12 hours per day);
Fuel increase of around £1,800 PER DAY compared to 2025;
Fuel increase of over £250,000 across the 2026 season
