Keen ferry-fanatic and island-hopper Stuart Craig has written about the ships which serve the islands of the West Coast from a different perspective this time. Written in loose diary form it chronicles the first twenty-odd years of his hobby, from 1989 to 2009 – capturing the sailing and cycling highlights and important changes to the ferry scene during that time. Liberally sprinkled with photographs and anecdotes it is written in his usual humorous, self-effacing style. This is a book for those who love the ferries, the islands and the recent history of the Clyde and West Coast car-ferry scene. Hopefully the reader will also have a chuckle along the way.
